Chiang Mai Temples

Sorry, I've been behind on the blog - hotel WiFi in Thailand is soooo slow.  I guess I always seem to get the room at the end of the hall...

I hired a car and driver and went up the mountain to one of Chiang Mai's oldest temples.  The road stops at the base of the peak and there is a small town which mainly caters to tourists and sells souveniers and food.

One thing I've noticed in Thailand is the dogs.  They are everywhere - very docile in the heat, and just seem to exist independently of the humans.

You can either walk up a very long flight of stairs or take this hybrid cablecar elevator to the top.  I took the cable car, of course!
